Met with Bruce Lane at 2760 to go over with XSM how she would like bookshelves built in MIM's bedroom.
She gave Bruce the instructions that she wanted two built exactly as the existing one, the only exception being the size, each of the new ones would be 8' long (including outside edge). She also wants heavy glass shelves like is in the present one.
Bruce plans to begin as soon as we give the go-ahead after JIM/XSM leave for Canada.
He plans to take the present one down, take it to his shop and duplicate it, and then rehang all three. Bruce says due to the fact that formica is now put on in a much better way that does not show the seams (he said clients today would not accept the way the present bookshelf looks) he may have to sake three new bookshelves so that they will match rather than trying to make the two new ones match the existing one. He would then return the existing one for XSM to use elsewhere where there would be no matching problem.
He said cost wise it would probably be cheaper to do it this way as it would be practically impossible for him to match the way the existing one was done.
