Subject: Clarifications for Yard Improvements2760 Residence
In accordance with our discussions and our letter of November 12th regarding yard improvements at 2760 Residence we provide the following clarifications.
1. If the broken limestone slab is replaced near the large sculpture at the same time limestone units are installed in the larger yard plan the cost for this work would be $1,567.00. If the limestone is repaired at the same time as the other yard work but the other yard improvements scheme does not involve additional limestone the cost would be $2,161.00.
2. To clarify the costs associated with the two north we provide the following breakdowns.32 grid support piers/anchors - $2,886.00Wood grid work anchored to piers - $2,403.00Structural framing and partial closure of mechanical vents - $2,416.00Excavate area around trees but protect and leave trees - $1,968.00Concrete squares - $2,003.00White concrete premium $1,008.00Total of above: $12,684.00
The additional cost to put perimeter wood edging around the Herb and Mint beds is $665.00. This cost would utilize wood stakes being installed on the perimeter only and would involve no excavation, piers, or other improvements.
We hope that this additional clarifications assists you in developing the overall scope of the project.
Respectfully submitted,

Subject: Yard Improvements2760 Residence
In accordance with your request and the existing conditions Taylor Bros. proposes the following options based upon our discussions and your sketches.
1. Around the large sculpture at the north limestone pation the cost to replace the one broken stone is estimated to be $2,587.00. This would involve removal of some of the adjoining stones toprovide access for the new stone.
2. To reconstruct the two north flower gardens in accordance with your sketch we provide the following options. All options are based on using small concrete piers to support a treated wolmanized wood grid in the 5 x 5 pattern. Also included is the cost to rework the two under ground vault openings to accommodate the 5 x 5 grids and the excavation of the plant materials in the areas of the new grids while maintaining the present trees. This scheme utilizing the very white concrete portions of the grid costs $12,684.00. If regular concrete were used a savings of $1,008.00 is possible.
3. If limestone slabs are used in place of the concrete the total cost would be $18,734.00.
None of these options include any new plantings.
We understand that other schemes may be forthcoming and we would be glad to price those options when appropriate.
If we may be of service please contact us.
