Re: Miller's Pool and Bath House
We propose to furnish all labor, equipment and materials to construct pool and Bath House at the Miller's Residence as per drawings A1, A2, and A3, dated May 25, 1960, and drawn by Eero Saarinen and Associates, Architects, for the sum of [u]FORTY-FIVE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED TWO DOLLARS ($45,102.00)[/u].
ALTERNATE NO. 1: Deduct the sum of [u]TWENTY THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-NINE DOLLARS ($20,139.00)[/u].
The above pool and equipment will be installed by the Paddock Pool company of Detroit.
VOLUNTARY ALTERNATE NO. 2: Poured concrete pool using patented form system, equipment and, using poly pipe all furnished ad installed by the James Pool Company of Indianapolis deduct the sum of [u]TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS ($2,000.00)[/u].
Because of the difference in the electrical prices I have asked the Hatfield Electric Company to submit a proposal by the first of the week for your consideration.

VOLUNTARY ALTERNATE NO. 4: Omit painting of joists, which are above the slat ceilings deduct the sum of [u]SIX HUNDRED FORTY DOLLARS ($640.00)[/u].
The structural shell of the swimming pool to be constructed Is of reinforced GUNCRETE finished with PADDOCK Pool Company's MARCITE capped with a 6' x 6' PADDOCK frostproof, water-blue, tile at the water line, and an off-white precast concrete coping 14' wide.
[u]EIGHT HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($850.00)[/u] has been included in the above base bid price for possible overtime pay to insure completion by August 15[sup]th[/sup].
If Alternate No. 1 is accepted I believe the completion date can be kept without overtime pay.
All landscaping to be done by others as indicated on Sheet A-1.
Enclosed is our proposed work schedule showing mid-August completion date.
