Color PaletteOldenburg's concept for a gigantic sculpture of a Good Humor Bar was proposed for New York's Fifth Avenue in 1965; its variant, composed of an inflated cartoon alphabet, was designed for Lansing, Michigan, but not realized.
Oldenburg often worked in traditional print media transferring the preparatory drawings for his monumental sculptures into color lithographs.
