This rug has two striking features that make it unusual. The small rectangular panels at each side of the arch contain the inscription "There is no God but Allah and Mohammed is his prophet." The top central square depicts a mosque with a minaret and a dome. Green (a holy color) silk yarn is used to highlight this design.
