Color PaletteThe painter Joseph Farington dined with Dr. Monro at the Adelphi Terrace on April 14, 1797 and described the evening in his diary: "Dr. Monro's house is full of drawings. In the dining Parlour 90 drawings framed & glazed are hung up-and in the Drawing room 120. They consist of drawings of Hearne, Barrett, Smith, Laporte, Turner, Wheatley, Girtin."
