Color Palette• The floating, abstracted forms of this composition mirror mountains, clouds, and water, accentuated by green, blue, and brown tones. Reflecting the work’s title, eyes emerge throughout.
• While living in Chicago during the 1920s, Heller co-founded the No Jury Society, an organization that provided independent artists with exhibition opportunities. She also wrote poetry that appeared in the Little Review, the independent magazine that had published James Joyce’s novel Ulysses in serial format.
