Designed by American designer Lockwood de Forest [1850-1932] of New York, New York and Santa Barbara, California and created by the Ahmedabad Wood Company in Gujarat, India; sold to the John Herron Art Institute, Indianapolis, Indiana, now the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields, in 1915.
