This prestigious bag, heavily embellished with silk tufts and metal sequins, was either carried by men on their shoulders, or hung on their saddles.
The textiles owned by a Berber family play an important role in defining their status within the society. Wealthy families, who afforded expensive fancy yarns and other exotic materials, were able to produce all types of elaborate textiles and rugs.
