花鳥図
The genre that we call “bird and flower” painting affords the artist an excellent opportunity to capture the colors of nature in all their beauty. Here, however, Baiitsu has used no more than various shades of ink to depict gorgeous peonies, magnolias, dandelions, and the variegated feathers of the pheasants.
His expert brushwork and command of his ink result in a rendering imbued with subtlety, grace, and delicacy.
