Adams was the last surviving link to the pioneering painters of Taos, the final member of the original Taos Society of Artists elected in 1926.
Adams cultivated a close and warm relationship with the inhabitants of Taos Pueblo, who often served as his models.
This lithograph was printed by Garo Antreasian at the University of New Mexico where Adams had taught from 1938 to 1963.
