Halston's silk chiffon serapes were seemingly shapeless and caressed the body. This one of a kind tie-dyed serepe is a more sophisticated version of the prevalent trend from the sixties and seventies
The tie-dye print of this serepe was designed with the shape of the garment in mind. Traditionally these garments were worn over loose fitting pajama pants or on their own. For those who dared, nothing was worn underneath, but for those more modest, Halston constructed a tiny chiffon bra to be worn underneath.
